We were discussing cigarette smoking in bars and the conversation turned to strippers.
“How can we allow bartenders to be exposed to secondhand smoke? If the government allows that and the bartender gets sick, how can the government avoid liability?”
“I’m no lawyer,” I said. “But you know, we have strict laws on the books prohibiting sexual harassment in the workplace. But when someone signs up for employment at an Adult Club, they can pretty well expect they would have to tolerate behavior that would be considered illegal sexual harassment in an office.”
“Your point in well taken,” my companion said, pleasing me immensely.
